Says another commenter:  The mayor is just   "looking for a job in Tallahassee soon. His inflated self image and egotistical personality will not allow him to stay in a small pond like Pensacola. His staff complains about him constantly behind his back to others that he is self centered, spoiled local brat who's best friend is a mirror. The people and his own staff who supported his election now see the real Hayward as someone who has no interest beyond his own, has no appreciation for those who work for him or around him, and has an ego about himself that is just embarrassing in public. He wants just be seen, waited on, has his ego stroked, and travel around Pensacola with his Entourage to look so important. We call these people Politicians."
