Governments like control and hate criticism. And now they can track people 24/7, well at least anyone with a cell phone.
Earlier this month the Justice Department acknowledged that, just like Iran, it could use cell phone records to identify political protesters. Read Newsweek, The Snitch in Your Pocket.
Very scary if you ask me.
